  • Notes
    • Grandmother Ledbeter was Lydia (Shook) Ledbeter, m. to James abt 1821 in Kitley Twp, Leeds, Ontario, Canada. I see that her headstone clearly states that she was born in 1811, but I have a problem with that information. She appears in the 1804 census taken in Kitley Twp, Leeds, Ontario, Canada with her parents Philip and Elizabeth Shook. She was their oldest child and at that date, the only child. Her brother Adam wasn't born until 1808. Lydia was my third great-grandmother.

The records I have found indicate a birth year of about 1801 for Lydia. Her dob in the 1875 Minnesota state census was 1799 and in the 1871 Canadian census was 1801. I realize the dob birth on the headstone can't be changed but it is inaccurate and shoanda Gooduld be noted.

Lydia is the mother of William b. 1830 d. 1895 in this same cemetery. and grandmother to Hollan J. and William W. also buried in the Blue Earth Cemetery.
