      Death of Mrs. Carl Sporrey.
Mr. and Mrs. W.W. Gibson were called to Spirit Lake on Monday of last week by the serious illness of their daughter, Mrs. Barbara Sporrey. Her death early Monday morning was a shock to her relatives and friends here. Mr. Gibson returned home on Tuesday and Mr. Sporrey and Mrs. Gibson accompanied the remains to this place. Funeral services were held at the family home on Wednesday afternoon, Rev. E.B. Dean of the Congregational church of Northfield officiating. The internment was made in Northfield cemetery. The service was largely attended by pupils and former pupils of the deceased. Mrs. Sporrey taught the Waterford school for several years, teaching in the home school last fall until Christmas time when she married to Mr. Carl Sporrey. Mrs. Sporrey leaves to mourn her loss three brothers, George of Salem, Oregon, W.W. and Murray of this place, and three sisters, Mrs. Edward Pike of Minneapolis, and Mrs. Margaret Frame, and Mrs. Frank Carpenter.
