When I first opened up the final case covering of the back of the watch, I took in my breath at such beauty. I know that sounds cliche', but the gold color etched with workmanship swirling on top of the gears was simply beautiful, and such delicate detail is not picked up by my crude picture taking.

The gold pocket watch was hers, we think. Evelyne Young Rice gave it to me in 1973. Stated it was about 60 years old at that time. Since then I have learned it's mechanism was built around 1902 by the Waltham Company. The case was made by the Keystone Watch-case Company.
