Notes - From Robert E Lee Obituary July 1960 : Robert E Lee, 68, deid Friday morning, July 38 (this is obviousley a trypographical error, MSR) at his home at Joan Court Apartments in the Dalles.
Mr Lee had been employed by Hampton Furniture Co. here for the lastseven years and also was associated at various times with furniture companies at Prinevile, LaGrande, and Hood River.
He was born Oct 18, 1892, at St Joseph, MO., and as a small boy moved to Filer, Idaho. Later he was emplloyed by Union Pacific railroad, and in 1921 he moved to Hood River where he worked for Mt Hood railroad and the Hackett Furniture store, remaining there 17 years.
Mr Lee was a member of Hood River Elks Lodge No.1507
Funeral services were Monday at 2pm daylight time at the Anderson Funeral Home, Hood River, with internment following at Idlewilde cemetary.
