    Notes
    • George is 1st found in the records of St. Cuthberts, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland. He is shown as being Christened/Birth, date as April, 18, 1772. The records indicate that David Crabb & Elizabeth Johnston were his parents.

George lists himself as a Poet in the 1850 Census of Warren County, while living with Henry Honaker Miller, (See Below) & his spouse, Mary Ann Hampton, Daughter of Catherine Small-Hampton-Crabb.

George was also a community school teacher in the Sand Hill, Old Plum Springs and Anna area. He would have been paid by the parents, as there was no structured school system at that time.

George was indeed the Great Grandfather of Alfred Leland Crabb, the noted educator and writer. (See below)

Other spelling variations: Crab, Craib, Crabbe.

Occupation: Farmer, Poet and School Teacher.

      Parents:

Catherine 1st married William Hampton Ca: 1810, Warren County, who was killed by Indians, Ca: 1820/21.
      Parentage is unknown.
It is highly likely that Catherine is buried at this cemetery, as George chose this cemetery for his burial.
