Notes - He was an irascible old guy whom I first remember when he lived on that place back the long lane where Margaret Allen lived. He was a great raconteur and repeated conversation verbatim, prefacing each quote with "He says thee" or "and I says thee." He was a teamster in Portland when teamsters drove horses, but was the worst horseman I've ever seen-always yelling at them and keeping them excited. I don't know what happened to his first wife, but his second wife was your Aunt Margaret. Whenever Margaret spoke of Will she always added "he" after it-"Will he did this," or "Will he did that." This led to our changing his name to "Willhee." His name was William James (W.J.) and Dad was John Wallace (J.W.). Needles to say, living on the same route there were many mix-ups of mail leading to more than a few spats. Source: Gib Ramage's letter: "You asked for family history"
